Skipper of the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild, which he co-helms with Franck Cammas, Charles joined the Gitana Team in 2019. A seasoned veteran of crewed round-the-world races and a double winner of the Volvo Ocean Race — first as a crew member in 2012, then as skipper in 2018 — he is nevertheless preparing to take on his very first Jules Verne Trophy.
