In so doing, Franck Cammas, Charles Caudrelier, David Boileau, Erwan Isra\u00ebl, Yann Riou and Morgan Lagravi\u00e8re have secured the new reference time for the descent of the Atlantic, improving on the crewed reference time set by Banque Populaire in 2012 in the Jules Verne with a time of 11 days 21 hours 48 minutes (some 11 hours and 55 minutes faster) as well as that of Francois Gabart in solo format.
